I'm going to take a few minutes of your time and brag.

Do nothing more than brag about just how amazing my 13-year-old daughter is.

Every parent is proud of their kids in some way or fashion, and they should be. But make sure even on their hardest days that you are telling them just how proud you are; it's something they NEED to hear. It's hard being a kid in today's world, and then you add in the teenaged hormones to go with it. It's HARD.

My sweet Belle has always been the kindest, most genuine soul that I've had the pleasure of knowing. She cares for others in a way that I never imagined she would. She has an adult's work ethic and doesn't give up on things even when they are hard. She just perseveres through anything thrown her way.

From a very young age, Belle has always had some pretty big academic goals. She has always had a love for reading and writing. The kind of love where she eats, sleeps, and breathes everything base around English Language Arts. Her love over the years has turned into a passion and more than just a hobby. And, it doesn't go unnoticed by her father and me or her teachers at school.

This past week we learned that Belle had hit some pretty high levels academically. With that, we also found out that starting next year, her freshman year, Belle has been accepted into honors classes. Not only are we over the moon proud of her, she proud of herself. And she deserves to be!
