Gillingham will be hoping they can build on a recent upturn in results in League One, as they look to make a late push for the play-offs.

The Gills are currently sat 11th in the third-tier standings, but are unbeaten in their last three matches, which has seen them move to within five points of sixth-placed Portsmouth in recent weeks.

The club have had their fair share of players over the years that have come and gone at Priestfield Stadium, with some making more of an impact than others.

We take a look at EIGHT former Gillingham players, and see where they're playing their football nowadays.

Matt Jarvis - Woking

Matt Jarvis started his career with Gillingham, and went on to make 120 appearances for the club in total, before departing in favour of a move to Wolves.

The winger was a regular for them in both the Championship and the Premier League, and later earned a move to West Ham and Norwich City.

But the winger is currently playing his football for Vanarama National League side Woking.

Charlie Lee - Yeovil Town

Lee signed for the club in 2010 after catching the eye with some strong performances whilst on loan in the previous season.

He went on to become a regular in the Gillingham team in his three years with the club, before released at the end of his contract upon the conclusion of the 2013/14 season.

He is now playing for National League side Yeovil Town.

Danny Kedwell - Havant & Waterlooville

Kedwell is well-known for scoring goals consistently in the lower leagues of the EFL, and he did that in his time with Gillingham.

The forward scored 45 goals in 136 appearances for the Gills in a four year spell with the club, before leaving to join Ebbsfleet United.

He enjoyed a similar spell in front of goal for them, and is now in his second spell with National League South side Havant & Waterlooville.

Myles Weston - Dagenham & Redbridge

Weston spent two years with Gillingham, and made 82 appearances in total for the club.

The winger played for the likes of Wycombe Wanderers, Southend United and Ebbsfleet after leaving Gillingham, but is now playing his football with Dagenham & Redbridge in the National League.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas - Livingston

Emmanuel-Thomas spent the 2016/17 season on loan with Gillingham, and made 35 appearances for the club, whilst also chipping in with 11 goals for them.

The winger was on loan from QPR at the time of that loan spell, but went on to sign for Thai side PTT Rayong F.C. after leaving the London-based club.

He is now playing for Scottish side Livingston though.

Paulo Gazzaniga - Elche

Gazzaniga started his professional career with Gillingham back in 2012, and made 22 appearances for the club.

But the goalkeeper left in favour of a move to Southampton in 2012, where he made 23 appearances for the Premier League side.

The shot-stopper moved to Tottenham Hotspur as their second-choice goalkeeper in 2017, but is now currently out on loan with Spanish side Elche.

Tom Williams - Hashtag United

Williams was with Gillingham during the 2005/06 season, but left in favour of a move to Swansea City in 2006.

The defender is now a player/coach at Youtube-famous Hashtag United, who have had their 2020/21 season concluded early due to the current off-the-field situation.

Jonathan Bond - LA Galaxy

Bond spent part of the 2016/17 season on loan from Championship side Reading.

The goalkeeper made eight appearances in total for the Gills before returning to the Madejski Stadium. He moved on permanently from Reading in 2018, when he signed for West Brom.

But the shot-stopper has recently signed for American side LA Galaxy.
