MAKEUP ARTIST Fiona Stiles (@fionastiles)
TREND Mod French Gamine
“It’s a perennial favorite,” says Stiles, about the Emily in Paris star’s ’60s cat eye (worn with an Oscar de la Renta dress and turtleneck in January). Stiles drew freehand with Lancôme’s fine-tip Artliner liquid eyeliner. A Bardot-esque matte pink lip (Lancôme No. 307) puts focus on Collins’ sparkling eyes, along with her famous arches, which Stiles set with Lancôme’s Sourcils Gel eyebrow cream. $25-$31, lancome-usa.com
MAKEUP ARTIST Latrice Johnson (@makeupbylatrice)
TREND ’90s Supermodel
Matte eyes and an ombré lip put a springtime twist on a glam throwback inspiration. For the One Night in Miami director’s appearance on The Graham Norton Show in January, Johnson first lined King’s lips with a MAC pencil in Chestnut ($18, maccosmetics.com), then filled in with a lighter cedar-brown liquid lipstick using Anastasia of Beverly Hills’ Maude shade ($20, nordstrom.com). Johnson finished the look with a glimmering pink gloss — Kiss Me by Juvia’s Place ($13, juviasplace.com) — to feather out the shading. “I don’t want it to ever overpower her because she’s so powerful,” says Johnson.

Emma Corrin
MAKEUP ARTIST Florrie White (@florriewhitemakeup)
TREND Fresh and Polished
To showcase the natural glow of The Crown‘s young Princess Diana in October, White first prepped Corrin’s skin with a vibrating ionic face massager — U.K. brand Chok Beauty’s Ionic Skin Perfector (about $138, chokbeauty.com) — to create a hydration-absorbing base. The makeup artist then used a “multitasking” highlighter — included in Hourglass’ Ambient Edit Lighting Sculpture palette ($80, bloomingdales.com) — in the inner corners of the eyes, down the nose and around the temples to illuminate Corrin’s complexion, while Surratt’s Noir Lash Tint ($50, bluemercury.com), precisely applied to curled lashes, brightened the eyes.
Andra Day
MAKEUP ARTIST Porsche Cooper (@porschefabulous)
TREND Sultry Monochrome
“The overall goal is to always make Andra’s stunning green eyes sparkle,” says Cooper, who took inspiration from the Renaissance era for the United States vs. Billie Holiday actress-singer when she performed in Times Square on New Year’s Eve 2020. For an artful monochrome effect, she looked to sun-inflected hues: coral, copper, gold and warm brown. Using all Chanel products ($32-$70, chanel.com), Cooper blended the lush, neutral colors (Chanel’s Les 4 Ombres palette) up and out on the upper and lower eyelids. Using a Nude Brun lip pencil, she created a soft perimeter to Day’s lips (in Rouge Allure Beige Rugissant) and finished with a warm matte beige layer (Chanel’s Blush and Illuminating Powders palette).
MAKEUP ARTIST Erin Ayanian Monroe (@erinayanianmonroe)
TREND Champagne Glow
In an ode to spring, Ayanian Monroe created a fresh, effervescent radiance for the star of The Great on The Late Late Show With James Corden on Feb. 10. Using a selection of L’Oréal products available only in the U.K., Monroe dusted a champagne shimmer shadow over a layer of matte taupe on Fanning’s eyelids, dabbed on illuminating highlighting drops over a peachy blush and applied a neutral lip sheen straight from the tube. “We all need some lightness and hope at this point,” says Monroe. Comparable L’Oréal products available in the U.S. include the Enchanted Scented Eyeshadow Palette; Blush Please! shimmering blush; and Glow Amour Glow Boosting Drops. $10-$15, lorealparisusa.com
MAKEUP ARTIST Jamie Greenberg (@jamiemakeup)
TREND Highlighter Pink Pop
“We wanted to look girly and poppy and alive,” says Greenberg about the Flight Attendant star’s hot pink monochromatic lip and cheek worn in November for a virtual press day for the series. Greenberg first brushed on a vibrant matte lip color, Lancôme’s L’Absolu Rouge Drama in Rose ($38, lancome-usa.com), then swiped on a second layer. She next blotted and dusted with translucent powder for staying power. Greenberg finished the look by dabbing her own blush-highlighter hybrid — Jamie Makeup’s The Blighlighter in The Pink One, a shade to match the lips ($34, jamiemakeup.com) — onto the apples of Cuoco’s cheeks and blended upward.
MAKEUP ARTIST Autumn Moultrie (@autumnmoultriebeauty)
TREND The Bright Smoky Eye
“Smoky is back,” says Moultrie, who created a dramatic look for the Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom showstopper on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Dec. 18. After blending gray shadows toward the outer corners of Davis’ eyes, Moultrie added luminescence with a golden highlighter — Charlotte Tilbury’s Beauty Light Wand in Goldgasm ($38, charlottetilbury.com) — at the inner corners and on the brow bone. “It makes it more seamless and lightens up the smokiness,” adds Moultrie, who completed the look with a glossy deep berry lip defined by a violet-purple MAC pencil in Vino. ($18, maccosmetics.com)
