MN: Milan evaluating permanent signing of Tomori from Chelsea – the details and the fee

By Oliver Fisher -

Fikayo Tomori has the highest chance of staying at Milan beyond the summer out of all the loanees, according to a report.

As MilanNews writes, when the Milan management insisted over 20 days that Chelsea agree to an option to buy for Tomori, there was already a clear indication of what Maldini and Massara think of the English defender. They could have sign him on loan without letting talks drag on, but they wanted a €28m option because they value the quality that he has.

Tomori is currently worth his price tag – at least based on the handful of games seen so far – and for this reason the idea filters from Casa Milan that the club seriously want to evaluate his permanent signing in the summer. It is still too early to make calculations, a lot depends on the final position in the league and on the budget available, but the 23-year-old is the most likely to stay of the players currently on loan.

He is a defender with characteristics is difficult to find as he s intelligent in reading danger, a mastiff in marking and a player who does not give an inch. Not everyone is capable of arriving from another league and playing after a few days in a derby, so Milan are already thinking about his redemption but no negotiations have started yet.
