Athena pays off a customer’s home loan for 1 year

From consistently killer rates to their unorthodox approach to lending, Athena home loans has been changing the home loans game since day one. Maintaining its reputation, Athena has broken the status quo once again by paying off one lucky customer’s home loan for an entire year!

The lender just announced that its UltiMATE$ Lottery winners are NSW couple Matthew and Hilary, who will have their home loan paid down even faster with Athena’s help. The couple plan to put the money they’ll save by having a year off their mortgage towards a house deposit for their kids.

“I’ve refinanced my mortgage four times, and Athena is by far the best, so it was very easy to recommend them to my cousin. I just wish they were around 20 years ago!” said Matthew.

Athena’s ultimate goal:

Athena’s UltiMATE$ referral program gives both existing and new customers $250 each for every referral that signs up. Most notably, the referring customer gets an entry into the UltiMATE$ Lottery to have their home loan paid for a year.

According to Athena’s chief marketing officer, Natalie Dinsdale, this campaign has been a huge success, with roughly 20% of Athena’s applications coming from referrals since the campaign launched.

“We knew we had a highly engaged customer base who naturally referred friends and family, and we wanted to reward our customers for doing so plus drive more of this natural behaviour,” Dinsdale said.

Athena CEO and co-founder Nathan Walsh said, “Athena’s mission is to help Australian’s pay off their home loan faster. We help customers everyday do this, and it’s exciting to help Matthew and Hilary fast-track that by a whole year.”

While the “UltiMATE$ Lottery” has now ended, Athena’s UltiMATE$ referral program continues on - so customers can still refer their friends and score $250 each if they sign up.
