ANN ARBOR, MI -- Tucked in a corner of a small Ann Arbor plaza is a restaurant of powerful Tunisian and North African flavors.
El Harissa, 1516 N Maple Road, serves dishes using recipes and spices from the southern shore of Tunisia, Morocco, Italy, Greece and Lebanon. The family-owned restaurant, run by Khaled, Susan and Yusef Houamed, who are from Tunisia, has been creating their spin on North African food for seven years.
