Riviana Foods Inc. is voluntarily recalling 19,931 cases of Ronzoni Smart Taste Extra-Wide Noodles because the label is missing an ingredient that is a potential allergen.
According to a news release, the packages do not include eggs in the ingredient list. People who are allergic to or have a sensitivity to eggs, could have a serious allergic reaction.
Riviana said the noodles were distributed nationally from March through August of this year.

- Ronzoni Smart Taste Extra-Wide Noodles, 12-ounce cellophane package, manufacturing codes MAR3022H, MAR3122H, JUN0422H, JUN0522H, JUL2422H and JUL2522H, UPC number 71300 05008
According to the news release, “Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in Riviana’s packaging review processes.”
Consumers who bought the noodles can return them to the store where they were purchased for a refund.
