Woman found shot to death in field near Flint park, police say

FLINT, MI — Police in Flint are investigating the second homicide to have occurred on the day after Christmas.

About 10:58 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 26, police responded to Hasselbring Park near Sally Court for a report of an unresponsive woman in a field. They arrived to find 25-year-old Naomi Anthony, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Anthony had suffered at least one gunshot wound, police said.

Police do not have any suspect information as of 2:40 p.m. Saturday.

Earlier in the day, at about 12:24 a.m., police responded to a reported shooting in the 600 block of West Pulaski Avenue. They arrived to find 23-year-old Curdetruis Keaton-Williams outside the residence, deceased from at least one gunshot wound.

The male homeowner, whom police said shot Keaton-Williams, identified himself to officers upon their arrival. He was lodged in the Genesee County Jail pending review by the Genesee County Prosecutor’s Office.
