Rishabh Pant is one such character who often likes to take the aerial route while batting and keeps entertaining the Indian team players from behind the stumps with his quirky one-liners. Ahead of the third and penultimate Test between India and England in the picturesque Motera Stadium, Ahmedabad, the wicketkeeper-batsman introduced one and all to his new friend 'Spidey'.

With Team India sweating it hard in the nets ahead of the crucial day-night third Test in Ahmedabad, Pant shared a video on Instagram where he can be seen enjoying his time with a drone. He named the device 'Spidey'.

Pant took to his official Instagram handle and captioned the post, "I've spent a lot of time behind the stumps, thought of taking in a new view at the nets today! Meet my new friend, I call him spidey #drone #tech #RP17 #17"

Even the official Instagram handle of the Indian cricket team shared a similar such video. The caption read, "Pulls off brilliant catches & stumpings. Hits big sixes with ease. @rishabpant now has some fun with the drone camera."

Pant has been in sublime form of late. After being the highest run-getter for India in the 2020/21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy versus Australia in their own den, the 23-year-old southpaw scored a fine 91 in the first Test versus England in Chennai. While his bat couldn't produce anything significant in the second Test, India won the match comprehensively by 317 runs to stage a comeback in the series.

Apart from his batting, Kohli has credited Pant for his antics on and off the field, which keeps the team in good spirits. “He's (Pant) a guy who likes to have fun on the field. That’s his personality and essence. We want him to continue doing that manner because that keeps the boys entertained and conversation out there is very helpful when the situation is tough and the things are not going your way," Kohli had said in the post-match interview after India lost the first Test against England.
