Rishabh Pant will be one of the young Indian stars to look out for in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Pant has looked in fine form for Delhi Capitals in training and has been striking the ball well as he gears up for the new season. Pant recently shone in DC's intra-squad practice match played in UAE.

In a video shared by Delhi Capitals on Twitter from their practice match, Pant can be seen playing a brilliant reverse scoop shot against senior pacer Ishant Sharma. The left-hander, who is known for his innovative strokes, anticipated the length well and pulled off the reverse scoop comfortably against Ishant.

Pant's form will be crucial for Delhi Capitals in the upcoming season as the Shreyas Iyer-led side aim to lift their maiden IPL trophy after making it to the playoffs last season. Pant has been one of the top run-getters for the side over the last few years and will look to continue his purple patch once again this year.

The 22-year-old will be also aiming to regain his spot as the number one wicket-keeper for Team India in white-ball cricket after KL Rahul pipped him in the pecking order with his impressive performances with the bat and gloves against Australia and New Zealand. While Rahul finished as the highest run-getter in the T20I series against New Zealand in February, Pant did not get a single game and was left warming the bench.

The left-hander has not been able to make the most of his opportunities yet in international cricket and will be looking to regain his confidence with a good show in IPL 2020. Delhi Capitals will take on Kings XI Punjab in their opening game of the season on September 20 at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai.
