The College football season is inching toward its conclusion and now football fans will get the chance to watch to see who will be crowned the sport’s most outstanding player.

The Heisman Trophy will be awarded tonight, Jan. 5, at 7 p.m. on ESPN.

The ceremony will stream on FuboTV (free 7-day trial) | Sling | Hulu + Live TV.

Alabama quarterback Mac Jones, Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence, Alabama wide receiver DeVonta Smith and Florida quarterback Kyle Trask are this year’s finalists.

Jones and Smith are the Crimson Tide’s ninth and 10th Heisman finalists since 1982. Trask is Florida’s eighth finalist while Lawrence is Clemson’s third finalist selection (former Tigers quarterback DeShaun Watson was named finalist twice).

The odds favor Smith who has caught 105 passes for 1,641 yards and scored 20 touchdowns so far this season. He would be the first receiver to take home the award since Michigan’s Desmond Howard in 1991. He would join Notre Dame’s Tim Brown (1987) and Nebraska’s Johnny Rodgers (1972) as one of four receivers in the modern era to win.

Lawrence, who is projected to go first overall in the NFL Draft, missed the National Championship for the first time in his three-year Clemson career but still finished the season with 3153 yards and 24 touchdowns despite sitting out two games due to Covid..

The Crimson Tide’s Jones completed 77 percent of his passes for 4,306 yards, an Alabama single-season record. He earned SEC Offensive Player of the Week four times this year and threw for over 400 yards four times, the most in a career in Alabama history.

Trask, helped lead Florida to the SEC title game during an 8-3 season. He leads the country in several categories with an average 375.0 (third-best in SEC history) passing yards per game, 4,125 passing yards, 43 touchdowns passes, 46 overall touchdowns and 285 completions.
