DETROIT -- Nissan has announced a recall of more than 354,000 Pathfinder SUVs, including over 267,000 in the U.S. over an issue with brake lights. According to the Associated Press, the recall impacts model years 2013 through 2015 and will involve dealerships making repairs in March.
The issue involves a stop lamp relay that can get stuck in the on position which in turn can cause the brake lights to stay on. The issue can also limit engine power and allow drivers to shift out of park or start the car without holding down the brake pedal.
Nissan has previously had to recall Pathfinders in 2016 for problems that impacted the 2013 and 2014 models. Nissan says it’s aware of one crash that happened after repairs were made, but no injuries were reported.
