Report: Tottenham considering cutting Gareth Bale’s loan spell short due to injury

Tottenham are said to be considering the future of Gareth Bale already, with reports from Spain suggesting Spurs could look to end his spell in north London early.

Mundo Deportivo claims that Spurs are unimpressed by Bale’s injuries since arriving back at the club and boss Jose Mourinho is apparently open to doing without the Welsh star.

Bale only arrived back at the club in a summer, signing a mega-money loan deal with the club until the end of the season. However, he has since started just a handful of games and is struggling for full fitness.

The report claims that this is bothering the people in charge at Spurs and the club are considering their options when it comes to Bale.

Although cutting his spell short seems unlikely given we are halfway through the season, there is now high expectation that Spurs won’t puruse a permanent deal for Champions League winning Bale.

Nobody complained when Spurs signed Bale in the summer and Tottenham fans were, quite rightly, excited to see their former favourite back in north London.

However, things have been a struggle for Bale. His form has been lacking while his fitness is a major concern and he looks a shadow of the player he once was at the club.

Given the huge wages, it is little surprise to see Spurs considering where they go from here with the Welshman.
