Gesture of humanity! Delhi police celebrate birthday of 4-year-old girl at labour camp [PHOTOS]

Delhi cops have won the hearts of thousands of netizens after they celebrated the birthday of a 4-year-old girl at a labour camp in Fatehpuri Beri during the lockdown. See pictures:

New Delhi: Amid the coronavirus lockdown, Delhi cops earned the praise of social media users when they celebrated a little girl's birthday by bringing her a cake. Photos of the heartwarming gesture of the cops have gone viral on social media.

The staff of Fatepuri Beri police station arranged a birthday cake for the four-year-old daughter of a labourer. The birthday was celebrated with the girl's friends in the community kitchen at the labour camp.

Photos show a group of children sitting together while maintaining social distance from each other.

"Today on birthday of a 4-yr-old girl, the daughter of a labourer,a cake was arranged by staff of Police Station Fatehpuri Beri&her birthday was celebrated with her friends in community kitchen at the labour camp there. The girl is a resident of Chandan Hulla village," Delhi Police told news agency ANI.

The generous gesture of the cops won the hearts of social media users. One user said, "@DelhiPolice you brought a cheer to her day that she will never forget. Another wrote, "That's so sweet. Happy Birthday little girl."

Someone tweeted, "Year 2070, I'm telling my grand childrens... "Kuch is tarah bhi humne corona se jeeta." #DelhiPolice." Yet another said, "God bless the 4 year old and police officers."

Recently, Punjab cops earned praised when they delivered a birthday cake at the house of a one-year-old girl. The cops even sang the birthday song for the toddler.

After seeing the overwhelming response of the girl's parents, Mansa SSP said they would deliver a cake at every child's home who turns one during the lockdown period as the first birthday of any kid is important and the parents cannot celebrate the occasion due to the lockdown as they normally would.
