While Hearts were in SPFL Championship action against Queen of the South, the club had players involved for loan clubs and on international duty this weekend.

The striker found the net to put Stevie Crawford’s side 2-0 up against Dundee after laying on the opener for Kevin O’Hara. However Dundee battled back to win 3-2.

It was another 1-1 draw for Olly Lee and Gillingham in England’s skybet League One. The on-loan Hearts midfielder came off the bench after an hour and found the equaliser for his temporary team six minutes later to secure a key point against league leaders Hull.

Colin Doyle and Jordan Roberts were both out of action in the SPFL Premiership with the international weekend providing a break for the league, but Craig Gordon and Michael Smith were both away on international duty.

While Hearts went down 3-2 to Queen of the South without the pair, Gordon was an unused substitute for Scotland in a 1-1 draw in Tel Aviv against Israel and Smith was a late substitute for Northern Ireland in a 2-1 defeat against the USA in Belfast – marked for a wonder-goal for one-time Hearts transfer target Niall McGinn in the closing stages.
