Role/Time at Northwestern State: Oversight of Academics/Student-Athlete Development and SWA (2008-2011)

Career path since leaving NSU:
Assistant AD at USF – Academics and Student-Athlete Development (2011-2013)
  • o Built Student-Athlete Development programming from ground-up

What is your most memorable moment while at NSU?:
Athletic Memory:
Double overtime win in football vs. Sam Houston State. Was homecoming game in 2010 and we won by a field goal after icing the kicker several times with all the timeouts we had left. If memory serves me right, their kicker made all kicks he kicked before the timeout was called, but then missed against the goalpost on the kick that counted.
In General: The people. I had great experiences and still cherish the people I got to work with in my time at NSU. Some are still there and many have gone on to new things. It's a special place that has a way of bonding those who come through.

Who is someone you met or connected with at NSU with whom you have stayed connected?
Greg Burke, Ryan Holloway, Cary Bruno Choate, Brendan Ferrell, Carrie Greene. There are others, but those are the ones I talk to still.
