Jokull Andresson has shown his class by donating £100 to a charity set up in memory of a former striker at Exeter City, the club where he spent a recent spell on loan.

The young Reading goalkeeper played nine games for the Grecians between the end of October and end of November on an emergency loan with the League Two outfit.

The 19-year-old made quite an impression on the Devon side and quickly adhered himself to City's fanbase with a string of impressive displays between the sticks.

His final game came in the FA Cup in a 3-2 victory over Gillingham on Saturday, November 28 and he has now returned to Reading.

However, he is seemingly keen not to lose touch with the club which handed him his league debut and has shown his class by making a three-figure donation to a foundation set up by brothers Tom and Jack Vickery in memory of Adam Stansfield who represented the club between 2006 and 2010.

The brothers have raised more than £73,000 for the Adam Stansfield Foundation, which was set up by Adam's family after he sadly passed away in August 2010 at the age of 31 after a battle with bowel cancer.

Andresson wrote on the fundraising page : "Hello lads it's Jokull Andresson, I just wanted to say that I really respect and appreciate what you guys are doing and just wanted to say keep it up, hope you guys have wonderful Christmas and happy holidays"

The Vickery brothers ran the Great West Run in 2019 and organise various fundraising events to help the charity which aims to give young people the opportunity to develop life skills, through the football and help them 'live the dream,' like Stansfield did.

Stansfield played more than 140 games for Exeter, and he also represented Yeovil Town and Hereford United.
