Pickup Truck With Only 1,200 Miles Ends Up In Water
A pickup truck ended up in the water along the Delaware River Thursday.
The truck slipped into the water as the driver and his wife were maneuvering a boat on a trailer down the boat ramp at Neshaminy State Park’s marina in Bristol Township’s Croydon section mid-morning.
The man behind the wheel pulled his wife away as the truck slipped into the water, Croydon Fire Company Chief Tom Tryon said.
The man and woman were not seriously injured, but the man suffered a cut to his head, Tryon said.
The truck ended in the water about 30 feet from the ramp.
The chief said the truck was a Toyota Tundra with only about 1,200 miles on it.
The Bucks County Dive Team responded to assist Rob’s Towing with hooking up cables to remove the truck, which happened Thursday afternoon.
Correction: A previous version of this story stated the marina is along the Neshaminy Creek near the river. We’ve since updated this story after a reader pointed out we wrongly believed the marina was connected to the creek and the river. In fact, it only is connected to the river.
