She narrowly missed out on the MasterChef 2020 title, placing runner-up to Emelia Jackson during the season finale last week.

'My kitchen is very modern and simple; it's my favourite room in my house,' she said.

Laura's kitchen features several tones of timber, concrete floors and brick walls.

A combination of silver and black appliances with black, hand-cut tiles contributes to an overall seamless look.

'I have a number of tones complemented by my amazing appliances, both in stainless steel and retro black,' she explained.

The kitchen is equipped with a '50s-style refrigerator-freezer, an under-bench dishwasher and stand mixer - but Laura's favourite appliance is the cooker.
