Frances Bean Cobain’s estranged husband ‘wants $300,000 a year’ in spousal support

Nirvana singer's daughter married Isaiah Silva in 2014, filing for divorce 21 months later

Frances Bean Cobain’s estranged husband is reportedly seeking up to $300,000 a year in spousal support.

Frances Bean – the daughter of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love – wed Isaiah Silva, frontman of band The Eeries, at an intimate ceremony in June 2014. Around 15 guests reportedly attended the wedding and Love was allegedly not invited.

Cobain filed for divorce 21 months later and recent reports suggested that Silva was seeking the last guitar ever played by Kurt Cobain in their divorce settlement.

Now ET reports that Silva is after $25,000 (£19,000) a month in spousal support, totalling at $300,000 (£227,000) a year.

Documents obtained by the publication claims that Silva has gone into debt after Cobain refused to pay the school and housing bills of his seven-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.

Frances Bean Cobain, who is reportedly worth $450 million (£340 million), is said to be open to paying spousal support but wants to protect her father’s estate. An alimony hearing is set for September 7.

Frances Bean recently made her music debut, uploading a short clip of herself covering a Jimmy Eat World song.
