Personal Loan Apps Show Resilience In Latest Provider Ranking

Personal Loan Apps Show Resilience

Maybe it’s a byproduct of that which shall not be named — by which we mean the pandemic — but PYMNTS’ Provider Rankings have been remarkably calm and unwavering throughout 2020, including our latest Provider Ranking of Personal Loan Apps, a category of intense interest.

We’re not saying there are absolutely no changes, but few enough that we should be able to make short work of summing up the hottest personal loan apps out there.

The Top Five

Topping the latest Provider Ranking of Personal Loan Apps is the reigning MoneyLion at No. 1 with its borrowing, saving and investing app. A change this time at No. 2 is LendingTree, rising one spot and trading places with SoFi, which is now in the No. 3 spot. Unchanged at No. 4 is the Avant loan marketplace app, with Upgrade staying current in the most recent top five.

The Top 10

As we look to the bottom half of the top 10 personal loan apps this month, P2P lender LendingClub retains its relationship with the No. 6 chart position, while FlexWage is now at No. 7, having risen one spot. The new No. 8 in the Provider Ranking of Personal Loan Apps is PaySense, dropping one spot, with the ever-so-serious FinTech lender Earnest taking No. 9.

There is no No. 10 on the latest Provider Ranking of Personal Loan Apps, which to our minds leaves room for someone else. Look out for the next update to see which apps rank.
