The Round Rock Public Library welcomes visitors from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and is closed on Sundays. There is limited seating, floor decals on the ground to designate where people should stand while in line, and Plexiglass shields at service desks and check-out. Please be courteous and mindful of others and practice proper social distancing by allowing at least 6 feet of space between each person. Library FAQs

What happens if I don’t wear a face covering when required by City ordinance?

If a library employee notices or is informed of a customer who is not wearing a face covering, they will proactively inform the customer that for everyone’s health and safety, face coverings are mandatory for all customers and employees in the library. They will also offer to provide a mask if needed.

If customers refuse to follow the City of Round Rock’s face covering policy while in the library, they will be refused service and could also lose library privileges for at least the time that the City’s mandatory face covering ordinance is in effect.

If the customer continues to not wear their face covering, the library employee will report the incident so it can be reviewed. The library leadership team will investigate the incident and take the necessary action regarding the customer’s library privileges for future visits.

Can you get COVID-19 from books, DVDs or other library materials?

RRPL has taken the next step forward to return to our pre-COVID service model. Effective, February 22, the Library discontinued the quarantine process for returned library materials. Materials returned to the library will be checked-in and returned to the collection without quarantine.

Library customers who are exhibiting COVID symptoms are encouraged to keep items at home. No overdue fines are accruing at this time.

In a recent update, the CDC noted that the virus spreads easily between people, but it does not spread easily from touching surfaces. The CDC advises that the best way to protect yourself—and others—is to maintain a distance of six feet, wash your hands often, and wear a mask in public. Learn more here. If it makes you feel more comfortable, you can leave your borrowed library material untouched for at least 72 hours.

Are you accepting donations?

Sorry no, we cannot process donations at this time.
